I couldn't agree more. When I saw the first news reports I though, "Oh boy, BIG trouble". I have been increasingly concerned about the research community's, "ignore it and it will go away", attitude.

If Copenhagen is conducted as if this is a non-issue led by a bunch of denier wingnuts, (even if that is true), the politicians are in for a rude awakening. It could set back progress by many years, after which some of us think it may simply be too late.
