As a former business researcher and college teacher of business and economics, and now an education researcher trying to design a new approach to public school reform, I agree with and applaud all your points. The unfortunate part is that you have to limit your educational approach because of how the system is structured, including the over-reliance on standardized tests. We have to redesign the system with learning and teaching at the center, with the future of the kids' capacity for inquiry and joy of learning to flourish, and for the capacity for collaboration to become the norm. We have a complex problem in education today and it must be met with deep, philosophical thinking that can be translated into working models and active learning at all levels.
