The conundrum here is that one person's creativity in action is another person's cow pie from the last century. Any chance that the WWC people thought they were being creative, making access to ideas possible for people who might not otherwise consider them?

We can each/all have our opinions about the creative efforts of others, but in the end it is just the Voice of Judgment which, paradoxically, closes the mind.
