the math concept discussion and ranking fascinates me no end, but it is hard for me to keep my free of carrying capacity as our little school turns itself toward a far and important goal: triple the number of our graduates who are college-ready in math and science. Most of our students enter 9th grade with little science background and mathematics as difficult a subject to learn as Arabic or Chinese. So, with all this work ahead, and everything I am likely to ask of our teachers to reach pedagogically, I am wonder how long we can sustain the heightened effort.
