You might check out the interactive economic/environment game STRATEGM, created by Dennis Meadows. You can read about it on the University of New Hampshire website: www.unh.edu/ipssr/index.html.
Participants act as ministers (finance, energy, social services and
so) for different nations. The ministers must work together to find a balanced development path as population grows, resources change, strikes ensue and so on.
