Thanks John Gunkler, I think you have hit upon a critical conundrum, and at least one possible way to influence the system: empirical data. Look how important Marzano’s work has become, many teachers want to do the right thing and really are sincerely seeking leverage, there is just so much “out there” right now, our Systems voices tend to get lost in the crowd sometimes.
