K-12 List Purpose

Hello Lees,
I'm on several lists that are ultimately aimed at teaching in K-12 as well as higher learning. Ostensibly, the focus is students and one's effectiveness with them in the classroom.
In practice, the lists are full of conversations just like the one on feedback. They rely on a vocabulary and a conceptual framework that may or may not be accessible to students.
My mental model is that such discussions are necessary, even if their content is not readily portable to the classroom. It is part of the development of the educators.
Case in point, being in conversation with Dr. Forrester is invaluable, even if his insights and explanations cannot be simply quoted and passed along to students. I will find a way to reframe his thoughts and make them accessible to students, eventually making them relevant to K-12.
I realize that I've not really answered your question, but that may simply be symptomatic of a list such as this one.
