Just spontaneously, I wonder if it would be a good idea to explicitly create links between systems thinking and other areas in which it is an essential component. I'm thinking for example of biology, where different parts of the body/cell have to work together to fulfill goals, or sport, where the whole team is essential to scoring that goal (touchdown?). Once this link is made, maybe they will be more likely to develop their systems thinking independently in the context of each of these other areas.
