Lees,
Very interesting list. I'll offer one suggestion: the various ideas about developing sequence and standards should be closely correlated and cross-referenced with existing national standards in math, science, (etc.) , and now in "21st Century skills," which are gaining currency as the cluster of higher level thinking relating to collaborative learning, problem solving, and higher level technology skills. (see, for example, http://www.21stcenturyskills.org/) When some of that becomes calibrated with some serious research about outcomes, and even about (ugh!!!) test scores, you'll really have something. I think this would be bolstered by research that's going on now about those 21st Century skill sets. I think it may be important to avoid trying to completely reinvent the wheel here, or creating an entirely different momentum, and instead become an important element of what's already in motion.
