At this point I am compelled to share a recent publication – “Master Teachers – Making a Difference on the Edge of Chaos.” A small but interesting book that addresses many of these questions and raises several new ones. It takes a systemic view of teaching systems thinking, of restructuring the classroom, applying “historicity” and “expeditionary learning” together with their linkages to “systems thinking classroom.” Here is finally a book from a teacher who is rooted in teaching. It is worth more than just a read.
I identified with much of what he wrote. I saw how I was teaching systems thinking through the lenses and within the structures created through non-systemic ways of thinking.
I have seen occasional post from Dexter on this forum. He may perhaps like to post a paper covering some of the issues that he raises.
