His poem "The Ritual to Read to Each Other" focuses on the need for getting to the deeper structures of our world through connecting with each other, understanding each other's mental models, exploring the systems together, and being "awake" in a rapidly changing world. There are annual readings of his work on the coast of Oregon in the Newport Beach area each year. He left us quite a gift.


I think that the, "understanding other's mental models", is well expressed in the quote from Wade Davis -

"The world in which you were born is just one model of reality.
Other cultures are not failed attempts at being you;
they are unique manifestations of the human spirit."
