I just received this. What are you all using??

Take care,

Dear Mrs. Stuntz,
I'm a ph.d student in cognitive science. My interest is how students
reason and learn about dynamic systems with the help of Causal
Loop Diagrams and Stella. Right now I'm doing a study on master
students in environmental science, and I've videofilmed them when
solving problems with these tools.

Now, my question: I would like to categorize the students based on
the level of understanding of dynamic systems in order to see if
they progress during the five week course.

In other words; I'm looking for a hierachy of qualitatively different
ways of understanding dynamic systems - would you happen to
know of anything like what I'm trying to describe?
