Dear Richard:
I agree with you, but there are things that change quickly and that much has to do with using technology and the Internet, some do not go out of style so fast, even I think are foundations that are related to Recent findings in neuroscience for the development of the strengths of human beings.
Although there are no roads or unique solutions to all problems, the path displayed by Peter Senge is very valuable, clear in recent years there are other paths that have been discovered by companies such as Gallup related work in the field of meta -statistical analysis and developing new yardsticks for the emotional involvement of the employee and the customer and the discovery of the 34 talents that are formed in part by the genetics of our parents and the influence of the environment at a young age of our childrenand of course we include the great work of Daniel Goleman with his discoveries of the operation of cerevris lĂimbicos in handling emotional and social intelligence and other more highly relevant as Gardner's multiple intelligences and the roles of team Meredith Belbin.
These above concepts should be added the importance of the discovery of personal values and shared vision, remember that the issue of values is critical as it is etched on our limbic brain, or sometimes called our unconsciousness and this happens often trauma or shock of early life and no educational model has been paying attention to teach our children to question our unconscious to find out what we have here or anti-values recorded and this governs our actions and decisions we take in life.Besides that everything starts from the alignment of a vision of community learning and personal vision in many real world cases are ignored these important steps that are key to the development of any organization that learns.
I would much attention to these first two steps of the signaling pathway Senge, and enrich the third point of improving communication curriculum integrating the educational models to help us improve our emotional and social intelligence personnel to develop emotionally and socially intelligent equipment, recalls that pervasiveness of interdependence can not be displayed if there is sensitivity in these skills and competencies of our limbic brain.
Now you, as American society, are great examples of such sharing of vision, I think I remember a president beloved by our Mexican grandmothers, I refer to President Kennedy, when I was young, I was shocked with his process of sharing their vision of achieving moon in less than 10 years he shared with his nation, and it looks like its got an entire society is tune with their vision and that great goal was achieved. There are other examples too bright like Martin Luther King, with his famous "I have a dream ...", it seems to me that sometimes struggle a lot to these far-reaching steps are the jump and not met, I'm talking about the directors of the K12 or the decision makers of its authorities, with the respect they all deserve me.
Finally comes the application of recent discoveries such as mental modeling and systems thinking, that will help us to verify the impact of our decisions over time which is fantastic for the first time our humanity is how to anticipate the future or rather , we have a better slingshot with better aim to solve the complex economic, social and environmental problems that we live.
Well as you can see, some things never change so fast, it's better than no change, that are the foundation of everything else, so I think that we should not get lost in methods or technologies that become obsolete in a few years, learn to build a foundation based on solid and eternal and is the word of God
Many greetings to all from Monterrey, Mexico.
