In highly abbreviated form, my nourishment intake produced revenue for the provider of food, etc. who reinvests, and produces yet more food for intake. In turn, food provides me with energy which I use to produce value somewhere in exchange for money which I use to purchase more food.

I have noticed in this conversation that I have the tendency to conclude that a feedback loop does not exist if I cannt imagine it. John Sterman's post brought home to me that if I widen my scope of inquiry, and seek out relevant sources of information and knowledge, the proabability of finding feedback is quite high (if not certain, I opine, as I completey concur with Dr. Forrester's comment even if I cannot trace the specifics of a loop).
