From: "Alex Leus" I am trying to get buy-in from the teachers so that we can purchase a site license for STELLA. ..... Part of the problem is that money is very scarce being a rural school district.
Anyone with this kind of financing problem should consider Vensim PLE. Vensim PLE and its manual can be downloaded free from: http://www.vensim.com/freedownload.html This downloadable Vensim PLE is the one used for teaching introductory system dynamics at MIT. The "Road Maps" series, available from the Creative Learning Exchange, http://sysdyn.clexchange.org/road-maps/rm-toc.html has the material in both STELLA and Vensim to illustrate the differences in how the two operate.
