Roundtable--Teaching Economics with SD
Posted by David Wheat on 7/19/2007
Dear Colleagues: The Economics Roundtable at the System Dynamics conference is shaping up, and we hope you can attend. Each of the six speakers will give a very brief (e.g., one PowerPoint slide) overview of his course, and there should be ample time for questions and discussion. Here is the line-up:
Khalid Saeed: "Teaching Development & Environmental Economics with System Dynamics" Michael Radzicki: "A Graduate Course in Macroeconomic Dynamics" James Lyneis: "Using System Dynamics to Teach Microeconomics" Kaoru Yamaguchi: "Using System Dynamics to Teach MBA Economics" Lars Weber: "Evolution or Revolution in Teaching Economics?" David Wheat: "The Feedback Method of Teaching Undergraduate Macroeconomics"
The session is scheduled to start at 12:00 on Tuesday, July 31st, in Plaza A. After you arrive at the conference, check the program to confirm time and room.
Looking forward to seeing many of you in Boston, Dave
