I am a PhD candidate at the Stevens Institute of Technology and I have decided to do my dissertation on Systems Thinking and K-12 Education. I am wondering what experience systems dynamics instructors have related to the cognitive maturity of their students and their ability to learn systems theory based concepts. For example, is there a model of cognitive maturity that is being used to guide systems dynamics instructors in setting up their content -- something perhaps based on the age of the audience? Would something like this be useful?
