"Feeding Frenzy" might also describe what is going on on the internet. There *IS* blood in the water, and the "scientific" has taken a back seat to the brutally political. The "deniers" consist of a number of significant "interest" groups who have a very strong desire to bring down not only climate science, but science in general. There are, of course, the tinfoil hat crowd who need to belong to, and identify with, something - anything! I would not underestimate the significant damage that this can do to science, and the "nervousness" (terror!) that this will be generating in political back-rooms. Politicians do not have a sterling record of bravely standing in the face of rock throwing mobs and calmly convincing them that they are mistaken.
