But do children ages 4 to 5 years old assimilate the cause and effect concept? Can they understand the whole picture and the differents components that are related to each other? As I am thinking may be they could look at the "family" that is composed of "children" + "Mom" + "Dad". But do they understand what is the relationship between Mom, Dad, and children?Is it too abstract to them? Did they reach a certain cognitive level that could make them aware of their surroundings?
