I teach mathematics and mathematical biology at university level (so not K-12). However our students come to us direct from school with often very poor mathematical skills, since their declared emphasis is on biology and biotechnology, rather than mathematics. For this reason I am convinced that many of their issues are similar to those of K-12 students. I find SD useful both for introducing students to the mathematics of biological processes. So my question: do my needs fit in with your above-stated aims? Will comments and questions from the perspective of university teaching be welcome or not? I'm not trying to push my concerns - I just want to be clear about the aims of the list.
Best wishes, Niall Palfreyman.
